The New Bank Charges Only affects 5% of Customers---CBN Governor


The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has clarified that the implementation of charges on cash deposits and withdrawals in the six states where the cashless policy is in place will only affect five per cent of bank customers as about 95 per cent do transactions within the threshold.
The governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, stated this at the end of the 269th meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) in Abuja.

During the week, the CBN said transactions would attract three per cent processing fees for withdrawals and two per cent processing fees for lodgments above N500, 000 for individual accounts while corporate accounts would attract five per cent processing fees for withdrawals and three per cent processing fee for lodgments above N3 million.

The charges would, however, only apply in Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, Rivers States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Emefiele said: “Close to 95 per cent cash deposited or withdrawn from banks fall within the threshold.”
The implication of this, according to Emefiele, was that a large number of bank customers would not be affected by the decision of the bank to promote cashless policy.

He said this would be 85 per cent in Lagos, 74 per cent in Abia and 68 per cent in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

“This has shown that, contrary to claims by financial experts, the policy will not have negative impact on SMEs and other small businesses and also people in the rural areas when eventually the policy starts nationwide by March 2020,” Emefiele said.

The CBN governor said the committee expressed its support for the Federal Executive Council’s decision to increase Value Added Tax (VAT), saying it would reduce the budget deficit and government borrowing when implemented.

His words: “Committee noted that this was too little to close the gap in government financing and called on the government as a matter of urgency to adopt a big bank approach towards building fiscal buffers by freeing up redundant public assets through an efficient and effective privatisation process.

“This would raise significant revenue for the government and resuscitate the redundant assets to generate employment and contribute effectively to national economic growth.”

The committee also advised the National Assembly to “exercise restraint” from increasing budget oil benchmark since crude oil prices are projected to remain tight.

The Federal Government was also advised “to adopt other ways of funding its operations outside the banking sector” so that credit could be directed towards the private sector.

Emefiele added that the CBN would no longer provide foreign exchange for the importation of cassava and its by-products.

Some of the by-products that would be affected include starch and ethanol.
“Nigeria is the largest producer of cassava. If Nigeria is the world’s largest producer of cassava then we should not allow people to say they want to import starch or they want to import ethanol or they want to import sorbitol into Nigeria.
“We will prevent them from doing so with all our might,” Emefiele said.
At the last MPC meeting held in July, the CBN governor had announced the bank’s intention to restrict forex for the importation of milk.

“We believe that milk is one of those products that can be produced in Nigeria. Milk importation has been going on in Nigeria for over 60 years. If you Google West African Milk or Friesland Campina today, they say that they have been importing milk and that they have been in Nigeria for over 60 years,” he said at the time.

“Today, the import of milk annually stands at $1.2-$1.5 billion. That is a very high import product into the country. Given that it is a product that we are convinced can be produced in Nigeria.
“The reason some say that our cows are not producing much milk is that our cows roam around, they don’t have water to drink.”

Since 2016, the CBN had been restricting forex for the importation of items it said could be produced in the country.
After an initial list of 41 items was released, the CBN had updated the list with fertiliser, milk, textile and now cassava.

Meanwhile, the MPC at the end of the meeting voted that monetary policy rate, which measures interest rate, should remain at 13.5%.
This was the third consecutive time that the committee would retain the rates since March 2019 when the rates were reduced by 50 basis points.
The cash reserve ratio (CRR) was retained at 22.5%, liquidity ratio at 30% and asymmetric corridor at +200 -500 basis point.

Register In NIMC Portal Or Forget 2020 Exams--- JAMB Warns


The joint admission matriculation Board has adviced all prospective 2020 candidates to register and get their card with National  identity management commission (NIMC) or forget the examination.

The ststement reads, "be reminded that 2020 JAMB registration shall only be possible if your ward have enrolled on the NIMC portal and collected his/her temporary card which has a unique ID".

Firm To Build Heavy Gas Plant In Imo To Empower Youths



An indigenous oil company, Seplat Petroleum Development Company, has commenced the construction of a multi- million dollars Gas Processing Plant in Ohaji Egbema Council Area of Imo state.
Chairman of the firm,  Dr. Bryant Orjiako, made the disclosure in Owerri, when he led the Management team on a courtesy  call on the Imo governor,  Emeka Ihedioha at the Government House,  Owerri.
Orjiako explained that the proposed company, which develops and commercialises gas, when fully functional will transform the state in all spheres.
Highlighting the achievements of Seplat in the Niger Delta with regards to oil exploration and production, Orjiako called on the state government and the host communities to create the enabling environment for the project to materialise.
According to him: “Shortly after we acquired our asset in Imo state in 2016, the asset OML53 which was originally owned by Chevron, we have incrementally ramped up the production from less than 3,000 barrels per day,  we are currently doing 9,000 barrels per day.
“We are hoping that in the next 12 months we should be thinking of 15,000 barrels per day and that is the beginning of the things we are set to achieve.
“More importantly, we emphasise that we are a company that commercialises gas and also develops it and as at today, we produce 30 per cent of gas to power in Nigeria and we are the only indigenous company doing this.
“Early this year we made an investment decision to invest 700 million dollars in the ANOH project phase one, this project is going to be situated in Imo state.
“The most significant thing to say about this is to say that this project has been in the pipeline for over 3 decades but once we took over the asset, we made it a priority and obviously the trickledown effect of that project in Imo state is capable of completely synergizing with your vision for the state and will transform development in Imo state. What we expect is to have the right cooperation and for Imo state to also position itself and create the right environment for us to do business”.
Also on the team is the Chief Executive Officer of Seplat Mr Austin Avuru,  who further explained the benefits of the project.
He assured that the company will fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility to the state and especially the host communities as the company has done in Edo and Delta states.
In his words: “We will build trust with the communities and also build trust with your government, we will not come to disturb you, probably you won’t see us again but your key cabinet personel will monitor the things we do and report back to you.
“We supply one-third of the gas to plant in Nigeria, we are building another one of 75 MMscfd in Sapele, we will build this one in Ohaji Egbema because we supply gas to the domestic market.
“Most companies offer token to buy peace, so if there’s any troublesome person in that community we go to him and do certain things so he won’t trouble us, we don’t do that.
“Those that are fighting us in Sapele, we fought them, those who are going to work with us, we work with them, when those who are fighting us saw what was happening to those working with us, they turn around to work with us, we don’t pretend, we give you jobs we can do and develop your capacity to do bigger jobs.
“We will like to see the growth of indigenous capacity in delivering jobs, that’s how we operate and our flagship corporate social responsibility programmes like the ‘Eye can See’ program is the most famous medical outreach in Edo and Delta states, we have a system and structure that can handle problems”.
Responding, the Governor commended Seplat for the choice of Imo and promised to provide all enabling environment and support for the project to thrive.

Ten Wedding invited Guests Died On Their Way.



At least 10 wedding guests have died in a motor accident on the Ikere-Ado Road in Ekiti State.
Several others also sustained injuries in the accident.
The accident involved an 18 seater bus with registration number Ekiti LG 05 MUE.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the victims were returning from a wedding reception when the tragedy occured.
One witness, Abiodun, told SaharaReporters that the driver lost control of the vehicle’s wheel.
He said, “The vehicle was speeding and summasulted several times immediately the driver lost control of the wheel.
“I counted at least 10 bodies on the road before the arrival of officials of Federal Road Safety Corps.”
The bus belonging to Ekiti State Market Women, which was reportedly conveying some guests from a wedding reception was said to have suffered brake failure.
Multiple sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity with The Nation, said the driver of the bus which was on high speed lost control following which the vehicle somersaulted several times.

Nnamdi Kanu Arrives Japan For Biafra Struggle.


Leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has arrived Japan to present the Biafran struggle.
Naija News understands that the Biafran leader made this known in his tweet on Saturday morning.
In his tweet, Nnamdi Kanu maintained that his arrival in Japan is not unconnected to maintaining the diplomatic momentum of the most resolute activism to restore Biafra.
His tweet comes in just few days after the IPOB group revealed that it was approaching the United Nations (UN) over the Biafran struggle.

FAKE BLIND WOMAN-BEGGAR ARRESTED IN ADO WITH 10YEAR OLD GIRL.

Drama ensured in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital on Thursday as  nemesis caught up with a popular street beggar Nzube Ekene who pretended to be blind.

The mother of two who often beg for money at the traffic light around the  popular Fajuyi roundabout with a ten year old girl she trafficked was arrested through the intervention of the chairperson of the Association of Women Lawyers known as FIDA Mrs Seyi Ojo.

During the arrest Ekene was putting on  tattered cloths and a hat that covers her face  thus deceiving members of the public that she is blind.

She usually seat on the floor while the teenage girl goes around to beg for money from motorists and passengers held on by the traffic light.

Giving her account to Roundoffnews, FIDA chairperson Mrs Seyi Ojo said she was in the queue of vehicle stopped by the traffic light when the girl approached her and begged for money a situation she said touched her heart deeply.

Mrs Ojo said on getting to the office, she ordered the invitation of the woman with hope of rendering possible assistance only to discover that she was a fake.

According to her, the woman was well dressed beneath but only covered herself with the rags so as to attract sympathy.

Over eleven thousand naira was found on her as at eleven o’clock in the morning when she was arrested.

The little girl whom she was using to beg for money could not hide her feelings as she grabbed the FIDA chairperson in joy for rescuing her.

Narrating her ordeal the girl who gave her name as Ada said the woman came to her mother in Imo state and requested that she go with her to the Southwest so that she can assist her trading.

She promised to enroll the girl in school which she never did.

Ada said she was surprised after getting to Ado when the woman told her to be begging on her behalf.

According to Ada, she first insisted but the woman beat and threaten her before she succumbed.

She claimed that she had begged the woman overtime to allow her speak with her mother but she insisted and even tore the book where she had earlier wrote the number of her mother.

The girl also complained that the woman was in the habit of maltreating her despite the fact that they make lots of money on daily basis.

Speaking with Roundoffnews, the fake blind woman-beggar Ekene said she lives in Ikare Ondo State but from Imo State.

She claimed that she was involved in the business to survive due to lack of job.

She confirmed that she lied to  Ada’s mother about her job.

As at the time of this report the mother of two has been handed over to NAPTIP for further interrogation.


Fear As Plans To Replace Vice President Osibajor Depens


From within Aso Rock, words got out on Friday that the powerful cabal around President Muhammadu Buhari has concluded on forcing embattled Vice President Yemi Osinbajo out of office.
Despite the fog of uncertainty surrounding the fate of Osinbajo, nothing concrete is yet be traced to the president regarding the future of his deputy with whom he had shared a warm relationship since their joint victory in 2015.

But the president’s men are said to be unrelenting in their pursuit of an agenda reportedly aimed at abruptly ending Osinbajo’s presidential sojourn.
Amidst all these, the vice president, on Friday, in Ekiti State, accused insiders whom he described as fifth columnists of working against the interest of the government.

In weeks ahead, one major battle Osinbajo may have to fight is preventing corruption tar from leeching on him as allegations of corrupt handling of government agencies under him may soon hit the airwaves.
To a devastating effect, the administration has employed the anti-corruption campaign to uproot perceived enemies within the government.

Apart from Walter Onnoghen who was sacked from office as the Chief Justice of Nigeria for alleged failure to declare five domiciliary accounts belonging to him in his asset declaration form, the immediate past Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita was also relieved of her position on Thursday over an alleged corruption probe.

Aftermath her open clash with the powerful Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, at the exco chamber in the Villa over the controversial return to office of fugitive Abdulrasheed Maina of the infamous Pensiongate, many within the system were counting days for her before being sent packing.
It was also predicted that allegations of corruption would be used in getting rid of her.


Both predictions came to pass and were accurate.
Maina, a former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension, who fled the country and was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was smuggled back into the country and into the civil service in October 2017, triggering a national outcry.
On camera, an incensed Oyo-Ita was seen wagging her fingers in the face of an equally angry Kyari. Both eventually made up before the camera.
With the sack of a former Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), Lawal Daura, Kyari is believed to be the face of the presidency cabal, though two other powerful figures (names withheld) not in government are also said to call major shots.

Search for replacement
Beyond the drama of the past week within the presidency, which has seen Osinbajo in the eye of the storm regarding his continued relevance in the administration’s second term in office, Saturday Tribune was informed by a well-placed Villa source that names were already coming up as possible replacement for the vice president.
Topping the list of those being considered is said to be a popular pastor for what is deemed an appropriate replacement and balancing.

Osinbajo, aside from being a Christian, is a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and an ally of the denomination’s influential general overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Although other names are reportedly being bandied as his possible replacement, the said pastor appears to fulfill all the requirements, being also a Christian, a popular pastor and equally from the south-western part of the country like the vice president.


It was further learnt that those who want to see the back of Osinbajo are considering two major exit strategies: either his forceful resignation or impeachment through the National Assembly.
A source around the vice president said his in-house traducers are already seeing him to be toast with the conviction that it may not be too difficult forcing him to resign when brought under pressure.
Osinbajo’s lack of meaningful political structure outside of Senator Bola Tinubu’s is likely emboldening those seeking to rid the presidency of him.

The vice president’s major sin for which he has reportedly not been forgiven, according to an insider source, is beyond the actions taken when the president was hospitalised in the United Kingdom.
As the acting president, Osinbajo saw to the Senate confirmation of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the nation’s substantive Chief Justice, though Buhari eventually got rid of him through a controversial suspension following an alleged failure to declare all his assets as required by the law.
Onnoghen, the first southern Christian CJN in over 28 years of northern domination, was replaced with Justice Mohammed Tanko.

Osinbajo also got the controversial erstwhile Director General of the SSS, Daura, fired following a siege to the National Assembly.
The then acting president publicly said he consulted the then ailing president before making the decisions.

Daura has been seen around the seat of power since Buhari assumed full duties.
However, the public denial of the much-despised Ruga policy of the Buhari administration by Osinbajo, following a national outcry, is said to have been the deal breaker for the presidency cabal.
The back-and-forth between the vice president’s office and the Myetti Allah over Ruga and the insistence by the former that Ruga isn’t the same as the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) against the position of the latter further mobilised national and international outcry against the policy.


Buhari’s administration later succumbed to the global condemnation and scrapped the idea, which was aimed at having strictly Fulani settlements in local governments across the country.
The cabal, according to information available to Saturday Tribune, is holding Osinbajo responsible for the unnatural death of the Ruga agenda, believed to have been packaged by the administration to favour the Fulani stock of the president.
Despite the decision by nearly all northern governors to buy into NLTP as against Ruga and with Osinbajo being actively involved, the party is reportedly considered over for him in the current power project, hence the resolve, according to available information, to kick him out.

A political associate of Osinbajo told Saturday Tribune he didn’t see any big deal in the alleged raw deal coming the way of the number two man.
When asked if he had discussed the current realities with the vice president, he said he could only volunteer an opinion when asked.


Osinbajo has been variously accused of sidelining many of his associates while only relating closely with those who are of the Redeemed church.
A senior lawyer had told Saturday Tribune of efforts he made to see the vice president for a serious national issue only to realise that none of the appointments given him materialised.

There is also a perception that the chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Babatunde Fowler’s recent query from the Villa was part of the assault against the camp of the vice president, considering their long-running friendship.
Osinbajo’s name has featured frequently and prominently in the 2023 presidential permutations and many commentators, pressure and political groups from the North have said 2023 should not be an exit point for the zone.

The vice president is yet to make any comment about running for president.

Sowore Charged To Court


The Federal Government on Friday filed seven counts of treasonable felony and money laundering against the Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Mr. Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore, publisher of SaharaReporters and a presidential candidate in the February 2019 presidential election is charged along with Olawale Bakare, also known as Mandate.

The charges were signed on behalf of t‎he Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), by Aminu Alilu, a Chief State Counsel in the Department of Public Prosecutions of the Federation‎, the Federal Ministry of Justice.
The charges were filed a day before the expiration of the detention order of the Federal High Court in Abuja permitting the Department of State Service to keep the activist for 45 days.

The detention order elapses on September 21.
In the charges instituted against the defendants, the prosecution accused Sowore and his co-defendant of committing conspiracy to commit treasonable felony in breach of section 516 of the Criminal Code Act by allegedly staging “a revolution campaign on September 5, 2019 aimed at removing the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

The prosecution also accused them of committing the actual offence of reasonable felony in breach of section, 4(1)(c) of the Criminal Code Act, by using the platform of Coalition for Revolution, in August 2019 in Abuja, Lagos and other parts of Nigeria, to stage the #RevolutionNow protest allegedly aimed at removing the President


It also accused Sowore of cybercrime offences in violation of section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention) Act, by “knowingly” sending “messages by means of press interview granted on Arise Television network which you knew to be false for the purpose of causing insult, enmity, hatred and ill-will on the person of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”


It also accused Sowore of money laundering offences in breach of section 15(1) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011.






Youths To Be Empowered By FG -- Minister.





The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, says building and empowering the youthful population is one of the cardinal objectives of the Buhari administration.
Dare said in a statement that the government was committed to empowering Nigerian youths in education, health, science and technology, politics and leadership.
The statement signed by Ms Patricia Nnandi, a Principal Information Officer in the ministry, said the minister expressed the commitment when members of the United Northern Youth Students paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
He promised that youth development would take the lead, with sports also getting equal attention.“About 67 million of Nigerian population is youths and their problems vary.
“We have seen what their counterparts are doing across the world because of what their country is investing in them; the federal government through this ministry intends to put together programmes for the youths.
“These will include self-empowerment and introduction of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in order to enable them be more competitive and gainfully employed,’’ he said.
Dare explained that the ministry has waded into the leadership tussle in the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), and a seven-man committee constituted to reconcile all factions and their presidents.He promised that any report generated by the committee will be subjected to a higher level of deliberation before reaching a final decision.
According to the minister, youths in this country are hurting themselves because they do not have a united front fighting for them; noting that it is illegal to have four people parading themselves as presidents of the NYCN.
Dare advised that it is important for the NYCN to bury personal interests and work towards reconciliation.
“This will enable a level playing field to conduct a transparent convention and elect an authentic leadership that the United Nations and the World Health Organisation will embrace,” he advised.He drew attention of the delegation to the National Youth Policy, which outlined government’s responsibilities to Nigerian youths in areas of empowerment and leadership.
The statement quoted the president of the United Northern Youth Students, Mr Jibrin Maiturare, as assuring the minister that the group was ready to work with the ministry in the overall interest of Nigerian youths

Two Portharcourt Hotel Serial killers Arrested.



Poilce has arrested two serial killers of portharcourt girls in different hotels. The commisional of police, CP Dandaura stated this to news men on the records of  success of the force.  He narrated how   the steps of the suspected ritualists was trailed and nabbed .

CP Dandaura told news men that one of the suspects was traced and followed to kaduna, the northan part of the country and was arrested before taking him to Portharcourt.

Hotel owners in the state had been advised by the CP to install CCTV in strategic points of all their rooms in order to monitor all activities. He also advised  that staff training be enforced by all hotel management  and the police command will contribute to the training on security tactics to curb the rate of crimes in hotels.

So far 8 prostitutes  had being strangled to death in few months.

Buhari suspends Oyo-Ita indefinitely



President Muhammad Buhari has shocked Winifred Oyo-Ita and her well wishers as he sends her a letter of an indefinite suspension.

In what can be described as  a surprise move by the president, he relieved  Oyo-Ita who is the head of service of the federation on a privy reason. The President how ever has nominated Folashade Yemi-Esan as the present head of service. The appointment of Folashade takes effect from the time of the suspension of Oyo-Ita.

According to some speculations, the former head of service was suspended on the ground of the ongoing probe of corruption practices. The economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC) is presently probing Winifred Oyo-Ita on the ground of curuption.

Man Named Church After Amadioha (igbo god of thunder)

When one might want to be thinking, "life has shown me all", then wonders will surfaced. Life seems never to have an end of experience till death. This is the case of a man who decided to open a church and named it after 'amadioha'. 'Amadioha' is a name of an igbo god of thunder.

The founder of the church named it as "Ambassadors of Amadioha". A lot of reactions has trailed the nomenclature as it is purely of igbo traditional god of thunder, amadioha.

It is clear from the history of Igbos that there is no connections between Christianity and the igbo traditional worship, even till the coming of Europeans to colonize parts of Africa. The pastor's action has thrown many to different reations. To some, he is rebranding traditional worship while to others, he is integrating traditional worship to his own Christianity.

Many were closed down and students lost their years and resources spent. Some went to other schools, some gave up on education, some got married and  many committed suicide.

As if that was not enough, till date, more of those universities are still opening without license and are airing adverts for their admission forms. This prompted our aim of publishing this article to educate prospective university students seeking to school in Nigeria.

How to find out a university is not accredited in Nigeria 

If you must escape from attending illegal  university in Nigeria then it will interest you to do the following while trying to make a choice of school:

1.  Visit the main campus of the university and ask students that are there already. In this case, make sure you ask more than 5 different students who are ready to talk to you.

2. Search key words on Google  like "is (indicate name of your scool) accredited?" . Do not rely on your findings from Google as some of these universities may be smarter to imput wrong informations online. This means the first step is very important.

After finding out  online and have gone to the campus to inquire, you must not also forget to enquire about the status of the course you want to apply for.

 Functions of National Universities commission (NUC).

National universities  commission is saddled with almost all the regulatory power to monitor and regulate the activities of universities in Nigeria.  Some of these functions are:

1. Responsible for licensing universities in Nigeria

2. Responsible for monitoring and accrediting courses in all universities in Nigeria.

  Why you should make sure your aspiring  course is accredited before applying 

There are different accredited  universities that are offering some courses that are  yet to be accredited by National universities  commission (NUC ). The implication of this have adverse effects on the students' careers as they might be delayed beyond years of graduation. In Nigeria, until a course is accredited by NUC, there will be no graduation for such students in that department. This means, if it takes the university 10 good years to accredit your course then you can only graduate then. This is why you must also inquire about the status of the course you are applying for. Easy Steps To Move Your Blog From WordPress To Blogger using the same domain.


Hellow bloggers in the house, it has been a stressful time trying to move my blog from WordPress to blogger. Finally I succeeded it, I moved all my posts from WordPress to blogger  and still retain my domain.

Blogging with WordPress is fun and easy with easy SEO management, social media dirrect blog posting and other benefits but what discouraged me after years of my  labour in WordPress is the  continuous subscription with hard earned money without a tangible  income.

A lot of bloggers who started with WordPress without income might be wanting to migrate their blog  from the WordPress platform to blogger as blogger platform offer free hosting services.

Every blogger wants to minimise cost and also maximise profits. Monetizing your blog under WordPress involves huge monetary  subscription to their premium or business services which cost about $96 and above  annually. Initially I thought after subscribing, I could make much money in a goal, my expectation was dashed to the rock of disappointment as my blog did not generate the required traffic to give me my expectations. I got less than $1 in the whole first  5 months and since then, nothing tangible has added.

My years of labour and building my blog was like, "all for no avail". Months running like twinkle of an eye, another year is coming and I will have to pay another subscription to keep my domain name and also access some of their services. After long pondering, I had to protect my self from this fear against expiration of my subscription. What discouraged me most  is that, with the heavy subscription in WordPress premium, customers are not allow to add adsense code to their blog as their head to head html where you can add third-party advertisement code is secured and protected by wordpress. I got discouraged and I had to look for way out as I don't have much money to keep spending. I found blogger platform as my next alternative as I don't have to pay for subscription. This means I can still be writing to my audience from year to year on blogger without paying except for just domain name.

The fear of losing my domain after I have created much traffic on WordPress later  compounded me, I had to go on research about how I can migrate all my posts from WordPress to blogger and still retain and  maintain my domain name. In the course of my search, I didn't get all my answers from one source so I decided to communicate the easy steps you can migrate all your posts from WordPress to blogger and still retain your domain name.

 How to move your posts and domain from WordPress to blogger platform

If you are migrating from WordPress to blogger, the first step is to export all your posts from your website to your device.

Step1 

How to export all your posts from WordPress site to your device: 

1. Open your WordPress app and go to "view admin"



2. Locate " tools"


3. After clicking on tools you will see a drop down as shown in 2 above. Click  "export" and all your posts in your website will be saved in you device.


Note: in your file, the post will not be in plain writing  but html form. Don't worry, it will automatically convert to normal post when you have  imported it to your blogger in the steps bellow.

Step2

1. Go to blogger platform and create account with just your email and password as login I.D.

2. Create a New website for free. Note: your website should look like, www.yourdomain.blogspot.com.

3. Go to settings. You will see a drop down, click "others" .


4. After clicking "others",  look towards your right in your computer and click "import"

5. Your  device will take you to your file, just click your file location where you have saved the post you extracted from your WordPress. All your posts will be in your new created website in blogger platform.

          Step3

The next step is how you will add your domain name to your new created website in blogger. I.e, how  your www.yourdomain.blogspot.com  will  become  www.yourdomain.com .

In this steps, it all depends on where you first bought your domain. We will be explaining in this post assuming you bought the domain from WordPress and now want to use it in blogger platform.

The first thing you have to do here is to transfer the domain from WordPress to godaddy.

How to transfer your domain from WordPress to  godaddy

To transfer your domain from WordPress to godaddy, go back to your WordPress account and locate your domain, go to domain management and make your domain " public", after that, proceed to "transfer  domain to another registrar". You will see lists of  different registrars, just click godaddy. You will receive your transfer code via your email. Go to your mail and copy the code then proceed to go daddy . Step4

After copying the code, proceed to godaddy and sign up. After signing up, search for the name of your domain in godaddy. You will see this picture bellow


Proceed to imput your transfer code as shown below

After inputting your code, click continue. You will be charged  less than $10  depending on your domain.

      After you have successfully transferred your domain to godaddy, go back to your blogger platform and go to settings=>basic=> then look your right, click on "add third party url to your site"

Type your domain name. I.e, www.yourdomainname.com. After that,   Click save. You will see a text in red like this in this picture


Click the second green text, i.e,  "settings instructions" . You will be re-dirrected to a new page. Scroll to step three in the new page and write down this numbers as shown I the picture bellow


Step5

Go back to godaddy and locate your profile, click on the transferred domain and come back here to  follow the instructions here.

History of Owukpa people of Nigeria.

                        

  As Africans may say, "no ethnic group fell from the sky", this clears the reason why it is a general believe that every ethnic group in Africa and beyond have history. To day we bring to you a clear and well researched history about owukpa people of Nigeria.
                     
                    Emanation

 Owukpa is one of the ancient villages  in the present day Benue state of Nigeria . The people of owukpa is said to be blood related as they all sprang from single father called Amuche Onomo. The Amuche onomo is believed to have  migrated from the present day Ikemu in isi-Uzor local government area of Enugu state. He was said to be hunting from the far land when he encroached the empty tick forest full of Bush mangoes. He saw the  fertile land, full of animals and  decided to settled under one of the numerous Bush mangoes (ogbonor trees).

He became very comfortable in the empty land and also  got married after years of exploring the land. He later got married and had 6 male children. Amuche Onomo, the father of owukpa gave birth to six children and these six children make up the present day major  clans in owukpa. However, In 1977, one of the clans out of  the six decided to divide into two. Subsequently, the government of the state  granted and politically recognised each of the divided clans  as separate entity. 

The children of Amuche onomo who is the father of  owukpa community are as follows.

(1) Ogwuche Ekwo
(2) Okpe
(3)Agada
(4) Agbo Ogri
(5) Ai-Amuche
(6)Oko

Okpe is the clan that  later divided into two.  After Ai-Unwaba sprang out, okpe later became two separate clans. This gave birth to the present day saying that "Owukpa is made up of seven clans".

          How Owukpa Was Named

When Amuche Onomo who is the father of owukpa first settled under Ogbonor tree ( Bush mango) in the present day Ipole Owukpa,  there were Igbos who already inhabited Ubolo, Amala, Veti, Ovoko, Ihaka and other present day Nsuka-Igbo villages. They were predominantly farmers and traders. In Nsuka language, Bush mango is called 'Okpupka' . The traders among the already settled neighbouring villages mentioned above  usually passed through the front of the 'Okpukpa' (bush mango) trees where Amuche Onomo settled down in Ipole owukpa. Amuche Onomo was always being described as "man who lived under 'Okpukpa' (bush mango) by traders  who always traveled through the front of his  abode while going to Orokam, Otukpa,  Otukpo, etc. It was by this means that the children of Amuche onomo were being called Okpukpa children and later when life expanded, populations and interactions with other languages became much, the 'Okpukpa' was later pronounced as 'Owukpa'. This is how Amuche Onomo children adopted the name 'Owukpa' .


      Owukpa is blessed with numerous  mineral deposits. One of  which is coal. The coal was being mined years back but along the line, the economic melt down affected the mining activities.


Owukpa are loving people and they are predominantly farmers and traders.

THE BIRTH OF EDUMOGA LAND

The ancestor of idoma was Oma. Oma had many wives and begot many children too. One of his sons was Idu. Overtime, Idu Oma has been shortened to "Idoma". Igala, Etilo, Ette, Afor, all share common ancestry with idoma. That accounted for why "Idoma" had lived with Attah of Igala in Ida for long.

Idoma, then decided to move out of igala land in search of an independent homeland. Consequently they left igala land in batches at different stages in the 18th century, and settled at different locations according to their clans in the present day idoma land.

THE BIRTH.

Idoma gave birth to many children, one of whom was Ede. Ede was the founder of Edumoga, Edumoga literally means "Ede mlo Oga" He gave birth to Abba Idiga and Agbo. Abba Idiga gave birth to Ekeh, while Agbo gave birth to Onakpata.
From these people emerged the Edumoga nation.

THE OFFSPRING.
ONAKPATA bore Abba Ehaje (Edumoga Ehaje) and Abba Ehicho.
ABBA EHAJE bore Oladegbo, Olaidu, Ojigo, Opialu, Amuhu, Ogomotu, Ojapo, and Akpoga.
ABBA EHICHO bore Amejo and Okonobo.
AMEJO comprises of Ogbodo, Opidlo, Ogene, Ichakwu, Ijege and Olanyega.
OKONOBO includes Iwewe, Okpafie and Eboya.
ABBA IDIGA gave birth to Ekeh.
EKEH gave birth to Ede, Ode, and Abba.
EDE bore Omlokpo and Obotu. Ekenebi is of matrilineal descent from Omlokpo.
ODE bore Ogblega and Aokpasu.
ABBA gave birth to Etukwu and Onyeke.
ETUKWU bore Olengbecho.
ONYEKE bore Amuche and Onyilo. Their mother was Onojo.
AMUCHE fathered Ajide, while ONYILO fathered Ogblo.

CLAN:
Edumoga has six clans. In order of seniority they are: Eke, Onakpata, Ugbokolo, Ai-Abba Icho, Akpodo and Ingle. The last two are matrilineal descent and so are not eligible for beaded chieftancy of Edumoga.
UGBOKOLO is a separate unit of igala descent that has been granted citizenship and incorporated into Edumoga, with equal rights and responsibilities. That was why Agbamu Okoh from became the third chief of Edumoga kingdom.
Edumoga, one of the three districts of Okpokwu local government area of Benue State; the other two being Okpoga (the local government headquarters) and Ichama.
To its northern end lies Ochobo in Ohimini local government area, on its southern end lies Otukpa in Ogbadibo local government area. Okpoga is to its east, while Olamaboro community (in Kogi State) is to the west.

EDUMOGA CHIEFTANCY:
The Very first chief of Edumoga was from Eke. He was Ikwumonu Okpotu (Ikwumonu Onyebe), from Olengbecho. The second Chief was Idibia Onoja from Ojigo (Ai-Abba Ehaje). The third chief was Agbamu Okoh from Ugbokolo Akpali. The fourth chief was Aba Ujah from Okpafie (Ai-Abba Icho). The fifth chief, not beaded, was Daniel Adrugba from Opialu. When Daniel Adrugba died, no one has taken the crown but the chief of Eke is extending his rule. Eke is the eldest son of Ede. The headquarters of Edumoga kingdom is Olanyega.

TRADITIONAL BELIEFS:
The majority of Edumoga people are Christians while few are still practicing idolatry of what their forefathers left behind for them.

MARKET:
The Edumoga people has two majors market they use in transacting businesses, they are Ekeh Market in Olengbecho, Afor Market in Ugbokolo.

OCCUPATION:
They are predominantly farmers and hunters.

TEARS OF IDOMA



Evidence showed that the Idoma people have been around Benue valley for more than a thousand years. Another mysterious Idomoid people known as Akpoto were noticed to be the earliest inhabitant of the region occupied by Idoma, Tiv, Igala, Egbira and Bassa today.
Evidence also drawn from rites, songs and folklore showed that the Idoma at Apa achieved a great civilization with centralised government and we're advanced in warfare, trade, crafts before the rise of the Hausa city states, Kanem -Borno and Kwararafa of Jukuns. The rise of this kingdom was detrimental to the Idoma at Apa. Initial alliance was made by with Jukuns who tried to form a tribute state. An attack on the Hausa overran Zaria and Kano but failed at Ngazarmu the capital of Kanem -Borno empire. Their use of iron chariots gave the illusion of invincibility which cause war apathy in Apa. The final blow on Apa was from internal power tussle which as a result, Jukuns became the sole ruler of the whole Kwararafa Multiethnic groups. Kwararafa became very unsafe forcing many and later all Idoma people to migrate southward. The different Idoma communities today settled individually on different occasions from 1500s - 1800s. The first are the Agatu who founded Ogyogo in Present Makurdi before final settlement at their present location. The second batch left to Igala land in which they joined Idah during the Attah Aji and Oba Esegie war of year 1516, Idah lost the war to Bini, and here after the Idoma there appeared to be denied their possession which led to mass migration from Idah. Some of the groups stopped at present Otukpo region, and joined their kins known as Idoma - Otukpo while those that crossed River Benue (Omada) became the Idoma -Nokwu. Efonya from the northern slavers that hit us hard. The fall of Opanda the headquater of Idoma and their kindred in 1600s scattered the Idoma and their kindred. Most of these Idoma group first settled at Abinsi (Abiche) with few Jukuns, like the Adoka, Ugbokpo, Orokam etc, but all left at different locations due to war, weather and distance living only another Idoma tribes known as the Etilo today.

Then the coming of the Tivs via Congo (citation needed) in the 18th centuries. It was so easy for the Tivs to inhabit these areas because the Idoma were already scattered. The push was so vigorous separating the Alago (Idoma nokwu) from other Idoma land northward, encircling the Etilo in present Bukuru/Katsina Ala, Ogyogo was destroyed and later become Makurdi in honour of a trader that came to establish a Market in person of Alahaji Audu Mai Kudi (citation needed).

Many other Idoma people left one Idoma community for another, the aboriginal Akpoto became some how extinct tribe, we suffered unity and recognition of one another at different era.
After this the Fulani Jihad of 1805 reached the Idoma land in 1920s.

Initially most of our kindred were dispersed and handful of Idoma tribes migrated to Igbo land in present Ette, Obolaffor, Agueri and Abagana, among all these only the Ette maintained their Idoma ties. We lost the remaining to the Igbos, these are our brothers known as WAWU in the voyage of William Baike. But yet we came up victoriously against Uthman Dafodios generals, only Doma, Keana and Obi were overan by the Jihadist.
Another overlooked fact that hit us hard were the British in late 19th centuries. When the British entered our land there was no paramount ruler to impose indirect rule on us, because we were ruled by independent Oche' Aje hence they use Abakpa to tap our natural resources as a result conflict broke out and out people killed eight of them which led to Anglo - Idoma war. In 1899 Odugbeho in Agatu was burnt down, Akwu was completely raised by the British over 30 Idoma were massacred by the British until they encountered resistance in Ugboju by Chief Amanyi. Chief Amanyi was captured and exiled to Keffi then the same British impose indirect rule through the Abakpa in Egede land with indirect tax, which led to the Ogbuloko war in Ito, the British destroyed Ito and Ogbuloko was killed in Utonkon in 1922. In 20th centuries the Idoma nation tend to operate from Idah as traditional headquarters before installation of Ochi Idoma in 1947. Same British exiling system led to the death of great Ameh Obonyi of Idah. Then we were colonized by the British in 1924 with 22 districts and was handed over to the Northern region, our brothers Yala were ceded to the Igbos, they lost their Idoma ties. Many of our brothers were forcely recruited to the British Army and fought the Burma and Congo war. Then the Biafra war of 1967 hit us very hard. Agila were massacred, Otukpo was bombed in 1968, we fought our own brothersthe Yala and our trade union gone into extinction.
In 1967 the Idoma our 22 districts was ceded to Benue state totally ignoring our original brothers outside Benue trough that's the Ette and Yalla then in 1976 our brothers Alago in Doma, Keana, Awe, Obi and Angwatashi plus Afor (Eloyi) were ceded to old plateau state. Base on my calculations only 40% of Idoma tribes formed what Is known as Idoma today.

We have been suffering marginalisation both at the federal and state level, our identity and tribe has been tagged minority, even in the stated we found ourselves. Idoma can't boast of a Governor ever since the creation of Benue state since 1976, the was of it we were divided amongst ourselves. For instance the general Governorship Election of 2019, the Tivs were already divided amongst themselves in favour of Jime and Ortom, Idoma at the other hand were fighting themselves over the course of the Tiv totally ignoring our own brother Hon Sam Inalegwu Abah under the platform of YPP.

Zone A of Benue state comprises of 7 local governments
Zone B comprises of 7 local governments
And Zone C comprises of 9 local governments.
Assuming the Idoma can come to term to give Hon Sam Inalegwu Abah a bulk vote with Tivs divided for the course of Jime and Ortom, there is high possibility that Sam Abah may have came out victoriousl irrespective of Parties. Hence I don't think we understand our cry of Idoma not producing Governor, we don't make attempt, and we don't trust ourselves, hence that noise should be buried. And anyone out there still assuming the Tivs are more populous than Idoma should also consider that there was never standard censors. From the onset of Benue Triangle in 1976
The Tivs were allocated 3 local governments Makurdi, Gboko and Vandekiya.
The Igala 3 local governments Idah, Ankpa and Dekina Idoma 3 local governments, Otukpo, Okpkwu and Oju.

As times goes on the political gains shifted the creation of more local governments became rampart in Tiv land with notable dominance in Benue state, the Igala split from us and joined their kits and kin in Kogi state in 1991 leaving the Idoma in with the Tiv as minority till date.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF OKPOGA, THE FORMAL POLITICAL CAPITAL OF IDOMA NATION


Okpoga, L.G.A derives it's name from a great man called OKPE who was given the title of OGA meaning "The One who can stop the sun from rising or setting".
Okpoga as a people migrated from the present day Apa L.G.A in the 16th century after the fall of Kwararafa to exile in ancient Idah before settling in thier present location in Idomaland in early 17th century.

In 1809-1900 the British captured Okpoga and the whole of Idomaland with the headquarters of the then Idoma Native Authority at Okpoga.
In 1909,Okpoga Division was transfered to Northern Nigeria, with the chief of Okpoga people Chief.Eli Idoko as the headchief of the Idoma Division.
In 1914, Northern and Southern protectorate were amalgamated to form Nigeria with in Okpoga Division in the old Northern Region.
In 1923, Otukpo & Oju LGs were created by the old Okpoga Division.
In 1930s, The Divisional Officer moved its Headquarters from Okpoga to Otukpo.

BRIEF HISTORY OF ELAGBAJE CLAN AND THE BIRTH OF AJIDE-EKEH IN EDUMOGALAND.

Ajide-Ekeh is a community in Edumoga district of Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, It boundaries with Ekeh Olengbecho in the north, Olanyega in the south, Ogblega In the East and Ekeh Ogblo in the West.

THE BIRTH OF AJIDE-EKEH:
Amuche Onyeke (or Amuche Onojo) had two wives. The first was Omoka, who bore Elagbaje, Odobi, and Eekpa. The second wife was called Onyanta, who bore Idiwo, Olakpoto, and Akogwu Ede.
These six brothers formed the six clans of what we have today as Ajide, Ekeh ward under Edumoga district.

THE FORMATION AND EXPANSION OF ELAGBAJE KINDRED:

Elagbaje means that anything that happens has a source. Elagbaje the first son of Amuche Onyeke gave birth to two sons, namely: Ogwuche Ejugwu and Akoryi. From these two of Elagbaje, came what we do celebrate today as ELAGBAJE KINDRED in every December of the year which sons and daughters come together to celebrate for a life well spent within the calendar year. These two brothers loved each other dearly, had always kept together through thick and thin. They loved and care for each other so much that no third party could do anything to set them asunder. God had blessed them with many children and grandchildren. As they multiplied, they passed unto their children the same spirit of mutual love and togetherness. This communion was so strong that one could hardly tell which child belonged to which father. The child of the one was the child of the other. No one needed permission to go and get what he or she needed from the house of the other; it was difficult to tell who actually owned which property, because they gladly shared what they had.
If any of them ever got into trouble, the news quickly went round and the others would come to his or her rescue. They would mobilise themselves and go to work on the farm of any of their members who was in need, as a way of contributing to the upliftment of that member. They depend so much on herbal medicine to cure their sicknesses. So if any of them got sick, the others would do everything possible to find the right cure for them. And, if eventually one of them died, they stayed together, condoling with one another, each bringing food and whatever that was needed to take care of the funeral. They were never jealous of one another, or discriminated against any member, female or male. Every member was a brother or sister. Everybody was important and valued as such, for they said, "However dirty water may seem, it can put out fire ".
Some of the wise saying of the Elagbaje ancestors that encourage their unity among their children were:
1• You need two fingers to be able to remove a louse from your hair.
2• A single stick of broom cannot sweep well, but a bundle of sticks of broom can.
3• If you travel alone, even a lizard can intimidate you; but if you are in a group you can scare off a lion.
4• The one who stands apart from his kindred stands alone in the rain.
5• A single tree does not make a forest.
This commendable fraternal love of their ancestors has kept the kindred together to this day.
As the family multiplied and increased, some members began to move a little farther away to explore life elsewhere. A good number of Elagbaje descendants started to move to Ajide from Omaikpo as from early 1974.
Despite this shift from their cradle, the family remains interconnected. Omaikpo remains their farmland to this day.
Frequent visitation of the one individual member to another was done religiously. They also introduced formal meetings times, when all members would meet on designated days for a reunion, sharing of their life experiences, proffering solutions to challenging issues at hand, sharing of meal and then returning to their respective places of residence. This has been kept alive to this very day.
The present generation of Elagbaje, are determined to keep this fire of love alive. They (Elagbaje) have come a long way. It is forward ever, backward never for the people of Elagbaje clan in Ajide Ekeh, which is also the clan of Mr-Agbo Dave, A member of Idoma Culture and Tradition (ICAT).

The majority of Elagbaje clan are predominantly farmers and Teachers.

IDOMA TRADITIONAL DEITY (ALEKWU K'IDOMA)




Owoicho is always looked upon as OWONOFIYE or OWODUDU, that's almighty and Omniscient. But since He is too physically removed from the physical world, just like other beliefs: Hebrew, Greek etc there is need for intermediary. It is now the Chief priest or the OCHE who act as the intermediary between mankind and the supreme God, Owoicho as the Oche is the ruler of the community.In many Idoma cultures, the Oche is also the chief priest of Idoma religious cults and in some circumstances Oche is different from the chief priest. Idoma worships  Owoicho (The supreme God)- Aje (The outstanding Earth)- Alekwu (Ancestral Spirit)



In 1981, Prof Erim state that the owoicho is a personality that exist beyond the physical.


Aje: The Aje is so important to the Idoma religious belief that Each kindred group established on Earth shrine within its OJIRA (gathering) and in most cases the chief priest of the Aje is the Oche. In this Capacity he is referred to as the ADALEKWU (father of the dead). In Idoma belief, the dead members of the kindred were paradoxically alive. In other words, death did not remove the dead from the kindred membership.

When an Idoma person dies after living a morally sound life, died at ripened age and has been giving a complete funeral rites, he or she transmigrates and joins the communion of ancestors owing to the belief that ancestors are the closest to the living out of all spiritual realities in which the supreme being Owoicho can be reached. The Alekwu ancestors are known as the living dead because of the physical cessation of life and the continuation of life in the sprit realm. With this we can come to conclusion that Idoma people believed in the immortality of the soul as the Greek philosopher Socrates.

The Alekwu that is not applicable and believed by the ancient idoma belief base is 'Alekwu Iho'


The Alekwu Oche is what was just discussed, the soul or spirit of the person that survived and carry on after the death of the person either on this Earth or in the spiritual realm.



Alekwu Aje: The God of Idoma from the Onset is Owoicho, there was never conflict between Alekwu Aje and Owoicho until the coming of modern religion.  Alekwu Aje is said to be a sacred and vengeful against all forms of profanities of the  cultures of the people. Alekwu Aje feast of annual remembrance is a traditional religious feast where practitioners communicate spiritually  and makes sacrifices in worship of their ancestors across the land.

Inspite of westernization that brought about christianity presently dominating the belief base of idoma people, the celebration of Alekwu  at the beginning of February or March in places like Adoka, Ugboju and Otukpi while in places like Orokam, Otukpa and Owukpa stretches to July and August is till date a great feast.

The Alekwu maintain ethics, justice, peace, respect and dignity for each other, but with the advent of Christianity and Islam many are fast these days to accuse of decay of the Alekwu proclivity on foreign cultures.

But this practice are still relatively intact in Owukpa, Orokam and Otukpa districts.



Alekwu according to the beliefs of idoma people, it is capable of rewarding and punishing obedients and violators of the norms of the land. According to the tradition,
 a woman of any  ethnicity  is automatically subjected to The oath of The Alekwu  when she  marries a man of idoma origin. Alekwu chastises unfaithful woman by causing unexplained circumstances to work against members of the offending family. In  another belief, when a male in idoma land commits incest, he would likewise incur the wrath of Alekwu, except he confesses and right rituals be performed to pacify  the spirits. In same cases of unfaithfulness, the chastisement fell on the wife until she confess and if the husband is aware of the unfaithfulness and attempted to conceal the act, he automatically becomes the victim, and if no ritual rites is carried out with confession can eventually lead to sudden death. (ONE HAS TO BE CAREFUL, MANY ARE GONE THROUGH THIS ACT).

Also in a case the husband is innocent, the first born son became the victim. Absent of confession from the wife and mother of the son, the son dies, in most cases seven days warning.

Alekwu Affia is popularly said to  represent the souls of the spirit of the anceators in physical form. It couold be in form of  man or masquerade. It is also a funeral ritual representation of the dead during which the spirit of one's deceased parents is appeased by preparing a special masquerade, which represent the reincarnated deceased person. It comes up when necessary and it stays three days. Alekwu Affia or  Eyanokwu, or Ogrinya, also known as, Ewunokwu masquerades. Always  appear united in the night. It also appear during the death of a king  (Oche) and districts heads. The masquerade  act as an anchor and director to escort the spirit of idoma kings and chiefs  to the land of the death (Ekwu bu Inu and Ekwu bu Eche).
